9/8/08 (Monday) - First day of Teelin classes for the 2008-09 school year
11/15/08 (Saturday) - Teelin Ceili (tentative date based on venue availability)
11/17 - 11/20/08 – Parent Week – observations welcome in all classes
11/24 - 11/30/08 - Fall Break (except for Figures Teams class on Monday 11/24)
12/6&7/08 - Southern Region Oireachtas (Regional Championships in Orlando, Florida)
12/20/08 - 1/3/09 - Winter Break
3/1/09 – Portraits of Ireland, 3pm show in Towson
3/14/09 – Portraits of Ireland, 3pm show in Frederick
3/15/09 - Baltimore St. Patrick's Day Parade
3/15/09 - Post Parade Party
3/23-3/27/09 – “Costume Check” (like a dress rehearsal) in all classes
4/3/09 (Friday) – Dress Rehearsal & photos at theater (scheduled times 3-9pm)
4/4/09 (Saturday) - Teelin Spring Show (2 shows, times TBD)
4/6 - 4/17/09 - Spring Break
4/25/09 (Saturday) – Picture Preview Day CANCELLED (New: this year Donner Photography will send proofs of the photos taken 4/3 to each family.)
5/1/09 (Friday) - Auditions for Teelin Irish Dance Company
5/16/09 (Saturday) - Teelin Irish Dance Festival (rain date 5/17/08)
5/25/09 - No Classes (Memorial Day)
6/4/09 (Thursday) - Last day of Teelin classes for the 2008-09 school year
The following classes follow the above schedule for closures, yet run for the dates listed:
Figures Teams: 9/8/08 - 12/1/08 (will also meet for class 11/24/08)
Tiny Toes Fall Session: 10/1/08 - 11/20/08
Tiny Toes Spring Session: 2/25/09 - 4/2/09
Spring Beginner Class: 1/8/09 - 6/4/09 (this class does not perform in the Spring Show)
Inclement Weather/Emergencies:
If the weather is questionable, please call 443-629-7808 to hear the school message. We will not always follow the public school closings. Make-up classes will be scheduled as necessary.
Absence:
If you miss a class, you may attend another class at the same level (or a level below) within one week of your return. Please notify the instructor of that class in advance.
